Contact

Information: Jenny has a huge passion for music – specifically Musical Theatre . She has performed in many plays/musicals, such as ‘Blood Brothers’ playing Mrs Johnstone, and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ playing Willy Wonka.
Jenny taught herself to play the piano at the age of 7, qualifications, she can now play grade 7/8 standard pieces as well as sight reading music efficiently and accurately. Jennifer also writes her own music.
Jen gained Distinctions in both my grade 8 Singing (Musical Theatre) and Acting (LAMDA) exams., she has experience in performing in concerts and competing in festivals around the North West such as the Liverpool Festival for the Performing Arts, Crosby Performing Arts Festival and the Southport Festival for the Performing Arts.
Jenny loves teaching since helping out at an old drama company in Ormskirk a few years ago, where she volunteered for two years teaching 4 to 9 year olds, before being asked to first be an assistant teacher to 4 to 18 year olds, and then a year later becoming a singing teacher to the same group. Jenny gives 100% to each and every student in class time – and she expects the same amount of commitment back. She believes in an encouraging and confidence building approach.)
Jen would love to pursue her career on a postgraduate degree in either Musical Theatre or Acting.

Teaching Experience
I love directing and have helped direct many things at college – including a group which received an A in their practical drama exam. I taught a choir during school for an end of term concert – which gave me experience playing the piano in front of many people – building my confidence – and also gave me a chance to experience teaching my peers and others.
I worked at Footlights during the summer show 2009, helping to direct Lisa Healy on The Lion King Medley and other songs, working on Hansel and Gretel with Bowdon Tiny’s and on John Godber’s ‘Teechers’ with a group of Footlights 3 students. I also worked at Holiday School with Footlights at Prestwich – working on The Wizard of Oz in week 3, and a festival of musical theatre for the final week .

What parents say;

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy and successful New Year to you Jo and everyone at Footlights.
Tons of luv 'n' stuffing (festive version lol)
