SORRY! New Bridge School Is By INVITE ONLY.

Owned by our successful franchisee Lindsey Berry, Failsworth was our first ever Franchise school. Lindsey has grown the school from strength to strength and now has three established schools in the region.

Lindsey trained in Performing Arts at The Manchester College with Footlights Founder, Jo Fisher as her tutor. At the time, Lindsey was also working full-time the homeless (a job that she had done for 20 years!) and was also a single mum, bringing up her daughter Ferne.

From juggling her career and family, to working hard to achieve her college training, it was clear that Lindsey would succeed to transforming her love of Performing Arts into business. At the start of her Footlights journey, she learned on the job alongside Jo and within a couple of years owned her own Footlights franchise. She has since opened three franchisees and her daughter who is now 24, has two of her own.

A true Footlights family business!

The Footlights Head Office is based at Media City in Manchester, just around the corner from the main hub of the BBC & ITV studios.  We were established in 2005 by our founder Jo Fisher, a trained actor and teacher, and who continues to have a hands-on role across our stage schools. We have robust processes to keep your child safe; all of our staff have DBS status and a trained first aider is always on site at each of our venues. You can read and download our safeguarding policy here.

Anne Marie Mahoney

Anne Marie Mahoney

Dance Tutor

Your child will learn the techniques of hip, commercial dance, ballet, contemporary and musical theatre, we will have them leaping in the air in no time!  And, even if your child wants to be an actor, they’ll need the discipline of dance for posture, movement and flexibility. If your child has never danced before, don’t worry our first class choreographer will break everything down into bite-size chunks  – so that everyone learns at their own pace, whilst our more experienced dancers will be challenged.
